Tribunj is a small fishermen village in Dalmatia, Croatia with a pleasant vibe. There are lots of restaurants, markets, little shops, and cafes. It has a nice marina and you can watch the boats all day long. The people are really friendly and the overall mood is laid back. It has many spots around the village where you can tan and take a dip in the refreshing water. We stayed in this Airbnb with an amazing view! The terrace was one of the best places to sit and just soak up all this beauty. Our Airbnb was only 2 minutes away from the city center so that was amazing.
Food in Tribunj
Because we stayed in an Airbnb we had the opportunity to cook our own meals. We decided to eat out one day and cook our own meals the next. We tried three restaurants in Tribunj: Restoran Luna, Konoba Dida Toni, and Konoba Markiolac. Luna and Konoba Markiolac were my personal favorites but Konoba Dida Toni had an awesome vibe so definitely give all three a try!
Restoran Luna has amazing fish and seafood that come straight out of the sea. You have amazing views and the sunsets here are phenomenal. I recommend trying local dishes like Blitva (potatoes with chard, garlic, and olive oil), the mixed grill with fried potato chips, or the mixed fish platter.
Konoba Markiolac is an Italian-inspired restaurant. They have the typical Dalmatian dishes but also things like pizza and pasta. Their starter platter was delicious and so were the pizzas. It is one of the more touristic restaurants so I suggest booking a table.
Don't forget to finish your meal with ice cream from Amfora! The people of this place are so sweet and even know a few foreign words!
Location
Tribunj is located close to Sibenik and nearly in the middle between Zadar and Split. In my other blog posts, I will tell you more about all the other locations we visited and give you tips on how to explore Croatia in a different way!
Fishermen night
Every year in July the fishermen celebrate one night. It's a large event where the whole village comes together to eat, listen to music, and watch the promenade of fishing vessels. If you have the chance to experience this day I would go for it!
